Happy Independence day to all of our superior patients! It should be a great weekend for family, food and an all American celebration, so get out there and celebrate.
When I was growing up, our entire block would get together and people would share whatever food they had, my dad would get out the homemade ice cream maker and whip up a batch of vanilla, and to top off the evening we would all watch the fireworks. We never had the “big” fireworks, just some fountains and ground spinners, but they were sure fun to watch with the whole neighborhood. What happened to block parties? They were simply the best, now we hardly even know our neighbors. What traditions do you remember from celebrating the 4th of July. Do you still uphold those traditions?
Well, whatever you do, make it fun, make it memorable and remember to check the laws in your neighborhoods before you decide to host that firework watching party! (it is illegal in most parts of town) It is all fun and games till the cops show up! 😉
